I've never had professional ones done cos of the cost so I rely on stcik on ones for special occasions. Because they ruin nails and my nails are naturally long, I've started just painting them. So I ALWAYS have nail varnish on now, whereas before I never did. A diff colour every week, I love it! It doesn't ruin them but still looks pretty! xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14917868012138402416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561834720723953729.post-20332311543838486422009-02-20T15:48:00.000+00:002009-02-20T15:48:00.000+00:00What do gel nails involve? They do this with a french manicure too!Lived With Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04314005731385741692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561834720723953729.post-54666484282599599572009-02-20T11:16:00.000+00:002009-02-20T11:16:00.000+00:00If you can afford to have them redone all the time...If you can afford to have them redone all the time and will keep having them redone then they do look ok, but it does really damage your nails, so you'd probably have to have acrylics for like..ever! Trust me i'm trained to do them!I know how they ruin your nails. Also instead of acrylic, try and find somewhere that does fibreglass nails, they shouldnt use a drill that way, just a nail file to file them down! xxLived With Lovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04314005731385741692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561834720723953729.post-90419741843203595922009-02-19T21:32:00.000+00:002009-02-19T21:32:00.000+00:00Can you get acrylics done without them using the d...Can you get acrylics done without them using the drill?Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11718840986291414794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561834720723953729.post-56158441760268496022009-02-19T21:30:00.000+00:002009-02-19T21:30:00.000+00:00They do look nice, but the really will WRECK your ...They do look nice, but the really will WRECK your nails big time. I guess if you are going to pay for them to be maintained regularly then thats fine, but get them removed every few months and try to grow out the nail bed to prevent your own nails getting totally and utterly ruided forever! Heve you considered Silk nails or overlays instead? They are slightly kinder to the natural nail, and can be used to kind of provide a strong evercoat for your own nails, which you can carry on growing...mizzworthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16108358231405686687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5561834720723953729.post-86355750906929442512009-02-19T20:25:00.000+00:002009-02-19T20:25:00.000+00:00Hi Kerry I know exactly how you feel I love the wa...Hi Kerry I know exactly how you feel I love the way acrylics look and I always admire them on people. I'm a nail biter, and have had acrylics on and off for the last couple of years. I'm now resolving never to have them again, my nails are so brittle, weak and totally unfeminie since having them. I removed them myself because I couldn't keep up financially, and I don't like being too fake. I LOVE the way they look, they make me feel feminine, but also, dare I say it, slightly trashy at the same time. I know these days EVERYONE has them, but I really would say don't do it...your nails will be wrecked for a LONG time :( Try fake ones you can stick on yourself, if you buy a good glue they last about 7 days! x x xLaurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13097832161129952488noreply@blogger.com
